ChampionshipBlackpool have decided against offering a contract to USA international Freddy Adu, reports the Blackpool Gazette. The 24 year old has been training with the Seasiders for the past three weeks in an attempt to impress boss Barry Ferguson and played in two behind-closed-doors games.
Ferguson explained: "There is nothing happening with Freddy. He's come in and worked hard with us. He is a great lad but I'm more than happy with what I've got. I have a strong squad."
However, Adu has been given permission to continue training at Bloomfield Road in an attempt to raise his fitness.
