Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is delighted Brett Ormerod will be staying with them this season.
Holloway says the former Southampton striker epitomised last season's promotion campaign.
He told Blackpool's website: "We weren't expected to do it, we were expected to get relegated. By the end of it, it didn't matter whether we were expected to do it or not, it didn't matter if we went behind or not, we just kept going and the beautiful thing about it is they grew as individuals and they grew as a group - it was something pretty special to be honest.
"Brett Ormerod, for me, epitomised what we were all about. He never gave in, he never stopped running. In your life you'll get some ups and downs and how you deal with them is what you'll get out the end of it."
