Blackburn's Hodge moves to Darlington

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bryan Hodge has joined Darlington on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old, who was out on loan at Millwall earlier in the season and has yet to make a senior appearance for Rovers, goes straight into the squad for Saturday's home clash with Barnet.

Boss Dave Penney, meanwhile, is adamant his side will bounce back against the Bees following last weekend's "blip" in the 2-0 defeat at struggling Wrexham.

"We hope the result at Wrexham was just a blip and have been working very hard on the training ground to put things right," said Penney.

"Every team goes through these spells in a season, sometimes you're on fire and winning by two, three or four goals like we did at Grimsby.

"And sometimes you have to scrap for results like we did against Macclesfield [a 2-2 draw] and Accrington [a 1-0 win]."
