Blackburn Rovers are not expected to make Jason Roberts available for loan.
The loan transfer window does reopen for Championship sides and below next week but it is understood Rovers are unlikely to consider letting Roberts go now.
Roberts told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I have no clue what will happen. Obviously I haven't spoken to the manager yet because we haven't trained since the close of the window.
"I am a Blackburn Rovers player and I have always been available for selection and will continue to be. My job is to play football, I have a contract to do so and have done that at Blackburn Rovers for the last four years.
"Nothing will change as far as I am concerned."
