Blackburn striker Blackman delighted with goal scoring Motherwell start

Blackburn Rovers prospect Nick Blackman is already amongst the goals for Motherwell.

Blackman was thrilled to mark his first start for Motherwell with the winning goal in their Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League victory at Kilmarnock.

He said: "We could have played a lot better and the boys know that, but the main thing is that we've got three points away from home. I'm really pleased to have scored a goal on my first start - that's my job as a striker and I'll be judged on how many I score, so hopefully there will be more to come."

He added: "My aim in coming to Motherwell on loan is to be a constant fixture in the team and to get a good run of games.

"We have a great squad at Fir Park with a good amount of goals in it and competition which is what all clubs need. We have a great chance of doing well this season and are just going to take each game as it comes."
