Samba, 27, was far from impressed with the antics of Hammers striker Carlton Cole and his constant efforts to win a penalty.
He said: "When a team is down, you try to force your destiny by winning a penalty with a wrong decision from the referee.
"We knew what Cole was trying to do but we had to stay calm every time he tried to get a penalty.
"You know when a player has fallen over and when he's playing the game properly, so we just carried on playing.
"It wasn't an easy game. West Ham needed to get three points and we're disappointed that they got even one because they hardly had a shot on goal.
"This is still a good result for us but we're not safe yet."
