Because of work permit complications, Blackburn Rovers could be forced to loan 19-year-old David Hoilett to St. Pauli for another season. The Canadian teenager has a contract keeping him at Ewood Park until 2010.

"Either Blackburn extend his current deal and he will be loaned out again or he will be sold," The Pirates' sporting director Helmut Schulte told Hamburger Abenblatt.

"We are prepared for both eventualities and have positioned ourselves accordingly. We have done everything we could do."

"Whatever happens we will take him. The door at FC St Pauli is always open to him."
