Blackburn or Olympiakos? Derbyshire to make decision on future

Matt Derbyshire will have to make a decision on his future after enjoying some good form on loan with Olympiakos.

The Blackburn Rovers striker went to Greece in January after not receiving enough first team football at Ewood Park and could find himself on a permanent deal with Olympiakos if he is not guaranteed game time in England.

"If I am going to play football here then I will be more than happy to stay here, why wouldn't I be?," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

"But if I am going to be playing more football there then I will be going there.

"I am in this profession to play football, not sit on a subs' bench or play for the reserves.

"I am at the age now where it is very important I do play football. I have to do that for my career.

"I have been at Blackburn for a long time and I love the club. The fans have been superb to me and still are. But I have to go where is best for my career."
