Rochdale are poised to sign keeper Jake Kean from Blackburn on a season-long loan. The 20 year old travelled with Rovers to Hong Kong as part of their pre-season preparations.
Dale boss Steve Eyre, said: "We've been after Jake from the moment Frankie and I were appointed and we're really pleased he's with us.
"He's a big lad with immense potential and a very good prospect for the future. I'd like to thank Bobby Mimms in particular and Blackburn Rovers for allowing him to come to us because we were among a few clubs wanting him.
"We had to show some patience because we knew he was going on a tour of Asia with Blackburn's first team and that did allow us to have a look at other keepers."
