Forgotten Dutch striker Maceo Rigters could be handed a rare first team chance at Blackburn Rovers for their FA Cup tie with Aston Villa.

The Rovers website reports Saturday's game could see several squad players getting a rare runout. With the likes of Jason Brown, Phil Jones, Martin Olsson, Elrio van Heerden and Maceo Rigters all pushing for a place in the starting eleven.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce wouldn't be drawn on who would be selected, only to say: "I'll be making quite a few changes for the whole of January."
