Blackburn Rovers defender Phil Jones admits he's still pinching himself over his progress this last 12 months.
Arsenal and Manchester United are already known to be big admirers of the 18-year-old but, having signed two professional deals in the last year - the last one being for a bumper five years - Jones is just relishing living the dream in East Lancashire.
He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Things have changed drastically over the last 12 months.
"I wasn't even involved with the first team in pre-season last time round and now I am. You do wonder how things have changed so quickly sometimes.
"I am proud of what I have done but time doesn't stand still. That is in the past now. You move on.
"That is football for you because you have to take everything that comes along and hope for the best. It is exciting to be in this position and getting ready for a full season at my club, of course it is.
"But I have to keep my head down and keep doing the right things."
