Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes says David Bentley won't let anyone down if he's called into the England team this week.

He said: "David is prepared to back his ability against anyone else he comes up against and that quality enables him to compete at the highest level.

"Once he gets the opportunity, people will understand what a creative and intelligent player he is. He has the mindset where nothing fazes him.

"David has shown that he has the quality to play at the highest level and he just needs the opportunity to show what he can do."
