Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has urged England coach Fabio Capello to make contact with Paul Robinson about ending his international retirement.
Allardyce could understand Robinson's decision after being left out of the World Cup squad and now thinks it is up to Capello to make contact over a possible return to the England fold.
"Robbo is very comfortable with his game and himself at the moment - you could see that in his all-round performance," Allardyce told reporters, after another fine performance from Robinson in the 1-1 draw against Manchester City, when an error from current England No 1 Joe Hart led to Blackburn's goal.
"It would be up to Fabio Capello to build bridges and see whether he can talk Paul out of it or not.
"But his performances last season never got him in the squad or to the World Cup so he felt he wasn't considered capable of playing in the team."
