Blackburn boss Allardyce delighted with Olsson progress

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is delighted with the emergence of young Swede Martin Olsson this season.

Olsson showed his versatility by dropping in at left back and still scoring the winning goal against Hull City this week.

Allardyce said: "The goal was a top drawer, the diagonal, the first touch, the run, and then he hits a hard low shot, which hits the keeper and goes into the net.

"He is doing excellent. He has emerged by some gentle encouragement and some playing of cup games.

"He really came to the fore against Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

"After that performance against Young, he looked ready and he has proven that.

"He has done left back and wide left for us and he is very good young, emerging talent."
