Bisgaard urges Inter Milan ace Eriksen to keep speaking Italian

Former Udinese midfielder Morten Bisgaard has urged Inter Milan ace Christian Eriksen to learn Italian.

Eriksen surprised many viewers on Sky Italia on Sunday when he conducted a half-time interview in Italian during Inter's 3-1 win over Lazio.

"The most important thing, of course, is how you express yourself on the pitch, but knowing Italian in this sense helps," Bisgaard explained, who also made eight appearances for the Danish national team.

“For everyone in Serie A, communication takes place in Italian in training and tactical meetings, because Italians are not very good in English, so they insist on speaking Italian.

“Eriksen is lucky that Antonio Conte knows English, so face to face he can give him some instructions in English, but otherwise everything takes place in Italian.

“He came to Italy and didn't understand the language.

“It also meant he didn't play, because he simply didn't understand what to do tactically."
