Birmingham City attacker Gary McSheffrey has revealed he could have been an Everton player.
"Not many people know that I had the chance to sign for Everton when I was about 14," he told the Sunday Mercury. "I just went up there for a few games, did well and they offered me schoolboy forms.
"But I decided to stay at Coventry because they were offering me an apprenticeship and the promise of signing a professional deal when I was 17, so I've no regrets."
