Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has admitted that the Blues have been inundated by calls and DVDs from agents recommending their clients. Since Carson Yeung made his £40 million January transfer window pledge, Blues has become a favourite port of call.
"I would rather have not let people know the figures because the phone has been non-stop since then, as you can imagine," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.
"And Sammy Yu has been bombarded as well by the scatter-gun approach, by hundreds of agents putting loads of names in front of him.
"I know a few and a few I wouldn't touch, but there's also some that are interesting but I have to also say if I've got a first choice of a player, then I will certainly be pointing Sammy in that direction.
"But," stressed McLeish, "the fact there is money to spend has got to be a plus. I have got to find the right players to come in and make us better."
