Newcastle United have rejected an offer for Karl Darlow from Birmingham City.
The Championship club wanted to sign Toon's number two goalkeeper, who has a contract until 2021.
Football Insidersays the Magpies knocked back the offer because they want a quality back-up for Martin Dubravka.
The former Nottingham Forest man, 29, was an unused substitute for all but one Newcastle's 38 Premier League matches last season.
