Birmingham swooping for West Brom winger Jonathan Leko

Birmingham City are swooping for West Brom winger Jonathan Leko.

The Daily Mail says Leko is heading to Birmingham City for a medical ahead of a proposed £1million move.

The 21-year-old also has interest from Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers but he is heading to St George's Park for the first stage of his medical tests after missing the second half of last season with a anterior cruciate ligament injury.

QPR had discussed Leko as a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze who is bound for Crystal Palace in a deal worth up to £19.5m on Thursday.

Indeed, West Brom had offered Leko as part of their own bid to sign Eze earlier this week but the QPR winger was set on a move to Palace. QPR still retain an interest in Leko but talks are advancing with Birmingham after they had an offer accepted.
