Birmingham City hope to outbid Fulham in their attempts to keep hold of striker Bobby Zamora.
The Mirror says Zamora, 29, has been City boss Alex McLeish's No.1 target all summer to bolster his attack despite signing Serbian Nikola Zigic.
Big Eck's bid was rejected by Fulham, who want to tie their prized asset to a new long-term contract.
But Birmingham are offering a four-year contract worth around £50,000-a-week and will go back with an improved offer.
