James McFadden would welcome big-name signings arriving at Birmingham City.
Hong Kong-based businessman Carson Yeung has pledged £40million in January, with another injection of the same amount in the summer if City retain their place in the Premier League.
McFadden told the Sunday Mirror: "If the manager gets the money, and brings in another two or three players it will improve competition for places.
"If it's all true it would be exciting times for the club."
