Birmingham fullback Carr can see Spurs striker Keane making Celtic return

Birmingham City fullback Stephen Carr can see Tottenham striker Robbie Keane playing again for Celtic after this season's spell.

Keane has joined his boyhood idols on-loan to the end of this term.

Fellow Irishman Carr told the Sunday Mail: "Robbie always wanted to play for Celtic. I just thought it would have been two or three years from now.

"The opportunity arose a few weeks ago and Robbie couldn't turn it down. I know he's enjoying it at Celtic and has been blown away by the reception he has received.

"But he will go back to Spurs at the end of the season. I'd be shocked if he didn't. He has a few good years left in him at that level and will want to prove a point.

"However, I wouldn't rule out him going back to play for Celtic in the future. He has had a taste of it and will want more. Only time will tell if a deal can be struck later."
