Birmingham City are lining up a winter transfer window move for Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams.

The Wales international is currently on loan with Sunderland, but the Birmingham Mail reports that the Blues are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

It is understood that Birmingham will launch a bid of £2m for Williams.

However, Williams signed a new long-term contract in the summer and it is expected that he will choose to remain with the Eagles.
