Birmingham City coach Andy Watson has no doubts summer signings Alex Hleb and Jean Beausejour will prove their value.

Blues fans are waiting for the midfield duo to catch fire.

Watson told the Birmingham Mail: "With Alex and Jean, there are different issues. Alex has not played as much football as he would have liked, we're actively trying to get him up to a match level.

"Jean had a fantastic World Cup, he had injuries and then we had to wait for a work permit. So he's another one who needs that regularity of training.

"But these guys have got great pedigree and we're sure that they will make big contributions for us."
