Birmingham co-owners intend to stick around long-term

Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan sees himself and David Gold running the club for another five years.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Sullivan stated that he still had an ultimate dream of one-last hurrah owning West Ham Utd but admitted for the near future his interests were with Birmingham City.

He also made it clear that at this moment in time Alex McLeish was determined to stay at the club for at least 2 years to prove himself as a Premiership manager.

In a dig at the Aston Villa set up he mentioned that he could not understand why an American owner would want a British team, claiming it was for a 'bottom line' profit rather than due to ego.
