English billionaire Jim Ratcliffe admits buying a Premier League could happen in the future - though he has distanced himself from a move for Chelsea.
Ratcliffe already owns Lausanne in Switzerland and was linked with Roman Abramovich's Chelsea earlier this year.
“There's plenty to read in the press, but the reality is probably quite different," he told the London Evening Standard. “There's no point in me talking about Chelsea as we finish up with more stuff that isn't accurate. I don't want to go there with Chelsea."
A Manchester United supporter, Ratcliffe is perhaps a surprising season-ticket holder at Stamford Bridge.
As for whether he might buy a Premier League club — Chelsea or otherwise — he said: “Whether that happens one day, I wouldn't say no, but I wouldn't say that's firmly in our sights."
