Big Transfers and Huge Competition in This Year’s Premier League

The Premier League for 2016-2017 starts in under ten days, and there is already lots of discussion about new transfers and loads of opportunities for exciting football bets. 1992 hero Phil Neville has been talking big game about Manchester United while at the same time expressing his concern that Jurgen Klopp might take Liverpool to victory this year. He also mentioned that he believes there will be five major contenders in the League.

Big transfers this season
Chelsea has also been making full use of its latest transfer, N'Golo Kante, who has made his first appearance for the team during the International Champions Cup in Minneapolis. Kante came on the pitch in the second half of the game as a substitute, helping Chelsea beat AC Milan by 3-1. The success could mean that the £30m transfer was worth it after all and could help Chelsea become one of the five teams that Neville believes will be competing for the top prize.

Everton are also making headlines with a shock new move, offering a £63 million deal to take Wolfsburg winger Julian Draxler under their wing. The German footballer confirmed on Wednesday 3rd August that he's intending to leave Wolfsburg, with Everton being the first team to put up a price for the 22-year-old.

Since Farhad Moshiri took over Everton Football Club back in February, he has already signed Maarten Stekelenburg and Idirissa Gueye, making this third possible transfer another international step for the team in the run up to the Premier League.

It seems like Premier League clubs all over the country have been making similarly big moves in the run up to the competition, too, with the BBC reporting that the clubs had collectively spent £475 million in the month since the summer transfer window began on the 1st of July.
