Big Four: Man Utd ready to buy English

Manchester United are ready to buy English in the upcoming transfer windows.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting more young homegrown players to revamp his underperforming squad.

British trio Dan James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire have proved to be successful additions so far.

And United are planning to follow the same path with their next batch of signings, says the Manchester Evening News.

United wanted to bring in winger Jadon Sancho before the summer transfer window even opened but could not convince Borussia Dortmund to sell. West Ham holding midfielder Declan Rice caught United's attention last term with Solskjaer a keen admirer.

In attacking midfield, Leicester playmaker James Maddison is also wanted. As is another Leicester star in left-back Ben Chilwell.
