Besiktas turn down West Ham bid for Hutchinson

Besiktas have rejected an offer from West Ham United for Atiba Hutchinson.

It is understood that Hammers boss Slaven Bilic offered £2.3million for the Canadian international but his former club Besiktas have turned down the bid from East London.

"Bilic suggested three million euros [£2.3million] for Atiba. We rejected this proposal and thank him," said Fikret Orman, the president of the Istanbul club.

"Atiba has one more year on his contract with us."

The 33-year-old, who can play in midfield or at right-back, was signed by Bilic at Besiktas from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2013.
