Nottingham Forest forward Jesse Lingard could be taking the same path as fellow England outcast Dele Alli.

Despite an impressive early part of his career, Lingard has faded away as a footballer in a similar way to ex-Tottenham and current Everton star Alli.

The latter went to the Turkish league to play for Besiktas this season, but failed to impress and is back in England.

Lingard, who signed for Nottingham Forest on a one year deal in the summer, has barely played for the Premier League club.

Per Hurriyet in Turkey, Besiktas will offer the former Manchester United midfielder a contract to sign on a free transfer when the season ends.

Besiktas will either play in the Champions League or Europa League next season, depending on how their campaign ends.
