Besiktas keeper Karius expects Liverpool return

Besiktas are set to send Loris Karius back to parent club Liverpool at the end of this season.

The German shot-stopper is expected to be back at Anfield iat the end of the season, two years on from his Champions League final nightmare against Real Madrid.

Karius, 26, has had a turbulent two-year loan spell in Turkey, and the club has no plans to trigger the £7.25million clause in his contract to make the switch permanent.

Sources close to Karius are confident he will be back at Anfield in the summer, unless another club swoops for him before then, says The Athletic.

Karius will be returning to a much-changed Liverpool from the side he left just two years ago.
