Besiktas hoping to strike Benteke deal with Liverpool

Turkish club Besiktas are hoping they can do a deal with Liverpool for Christian Benteke.

According to Turkish site Spor Haber, Besiktas have offered around £20million for the Belgian striker who has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Istanbul giants.

It is understood that Liverpool have baulked at the fee mentioned as they want to recoup most of the £32.5m they paid Aston Villa for him last summer which could see Besiktas now make a loan offer instead.

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that it makes sense for Benteke to move to another club and while it is being reported that Besiktas could be his destination, the fact they have offered about £10m less than Crystal Palace's rejected bid appears as though the Reds might be holding out for a better proposal.
