Besiktas draw up plans to re-sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun

Besiktas have plans to re-sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun.

Fotospor says Tosun refused to return to his former club during the summer transfer window.

Tosun currently earns €3.5m a year at Everton, Besiktas were only offering €1.5m plus bonuses, so he didn't think it was worth giving up the extra wages.

The striker has been out-of-action since returning from his loan spell at Besiktas early last season after suffering a serious injury.

The 30-year-old had surgery on the issue in April and it was initially believed that it would lead to him spending an extended amount of time on the sidelines, until at least November.

Besiktas are ready to try again for Tosun in January.
