Former Real Madrid star and youth coach Guti is happy with his decision to leave last summer.
Guti left Real after two years in charge of the youth team to take an assistant coaching post with Besiktas.
He told Marca: "I do want to coach, if I took the step of leaving the Real Madrid academy to go to Turkey, it's for that, to continue evolving and to be able to take charge of a team as soon as possible.
"I do not have to be in a hurry, I'm happy with the situation I'm in. In football you never know, I'm not going to say that I'm going to stay, but my priority now is to be there."
Asked about Real coach Julen Lopetegui, Guti added: "He is a great coach and he will prove it at Real Madrid.
"Of course you have to be patient with him, he's a great coach who has shown this with the Spanish team and he's going to show it at Real Madrid."
