Besiktas cannot afford to meet Liverpool price for Karius

Besiktas cannot afford to meet Liverpool's asking price for Loris Karius.

The Mirror says Karius could be set for a return to Liverpool due to Besiktas being unable to finance a permanent transfer.

The German goalkeeper was shipped out on loan to the Turkish club following his gaffes in the 2018 Champions League final.

After dropping two clangers in the defeat to Real Madrid, Karius's Liverpool career was deemed as good as over.

But he could now end up back at Anfield in the summer, as Besiktas struggle to stump up the £7.25 million required to keep him at the club.
