Aubameyang has a history of upsetting the camp as he turned up late to training three times earlier this season.
Former Germany defender Thomas Berthold, who has become one of Germany's top pundits, has warned the Gunners of the dangers of a potential signing.
“At Dortmund, it has reached the point where the employer has said to its employee, 'My friend, it's over'," Berthold told the Mirror.
“For Arsenal, it is now a question of how they structure the handling of their players. Aubameyang presents a risk.
“They must have a code of behaviour for the team – both on the pitch and away from it – so that Aubameyang can carry out his profession with 100 per cent focus and not have anything in his head that can provide a distraction.
“The mentality in England is different. But, in Dortmund, it has been a problem.
“Aubameyang got used to a certain lifestyle with his escapades. He will have to adopt a different way at Arsenal. I hope they know his personality and how he works.
“I assume they do and they understand what he is about on the training pitch. If they don't, his mentality won't fit and it would be better that the deal doesn't go ahead because, in my opinion, it would not work."
