Bruno Berner believes that the clash between Switzerland and England will be a great opportunity for Gokhan Inler to prove his worth to Leicester City.

Inler made a move to the Premier League this summer by joining the Foxes from Napoli and despite being an established midfielder in Europe for more than a decade, not many fans are aware of his qualities in England.

Now Inler will go up against England during Switzerland's European Championship qualifiers on Tuesday night and former Leicester star Berner feels that the match is the perfect opportunity for the 31-year-old to show his quality to the fans in the Premier League.

Berner told the Leicester Mercury: "It would be a great stage for him to show what he can do. It is a great opportunity for him and a good chance for Ranieri to see him and think 'okay, he is ready'.

"He is still the captain of Switzerland and hopefully he will start."
