AC Milan are emerging as suitors for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo. With Real Madrid president-elect Florentino Perez shutting the door on Ronaldo joining him in Spain this summer, Milan could have a free run at the World Player of the Year.
Tuttosport says Milan president Silvio Berlusconi whispered words of support to Ronaldo during the presentation ceremony at the end of Wednesday night's Champions League final defeat.
Down after United's dismal 2-0 loss to Barcelona, Ronaldo immediately burst into a big smile when Berlusconi leaned over to say: "It would be an honour to see you in Milan."
If Berlusconi sells Kaka to Real Madrid, the Italy PM could move for Ronaldo as a direct replacement.
