Karim Benzema featured for Real Madrid in yesterday's midseason friendly draw with Leganes.
Benzema showed that he had fully recovered from the thigh strain which ruled him out of France's World Cup squad.
The training match against Leganes was played in two halves of 30 minutes each and in which Benzema, who wore the captain's armband, started and showed that he has already left behind his injuries and discomfort that have prevented him from playing in the first part of the season.
The match was behind closed doors and ended 1-1. Toni Kroos scored for Real and Iker Undabarrena scored for Leganés.
Real coach Carlo Ancelotti fielded the players who were not in the World Cup, plus players from Castilla. In addition to Benzema, David Alaba also returned to play for Real Madrid.
