Tottenham's David Bentley could be on his way to Manchester City in January as part of a trade deal which may include Martin Petrov.
Bentley has had a horror time at White Hart Lane, failing to force his way into Harry Redknapp's first team as Petrov has experienced a similar situation at Eastlands despite playing well when used.
City boss Mark Hughes is expected to make an £8million move which will include winger Petrov who was agonisingly close to becoming a Spurs player in the summer.
The deal seems a good one for both clubs as it will be a chance to freshen up the two players who have fallen out of favour at their current homes.
