Simon Mignolet has revealed that compatriot Christian Benteke is doing his absolute best to recapture his top form.
Benteke has endured a terrible time at Liverpool since his summer move from Aston Villa for a whopping £32.5million and having failed to impress manager Jurgen Klopp, the Belgian striker is widely expected to be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Benteke's struggles has not been due to the lack of effort though and teammate Mignolet has revealed that the 25-year-old is working really hard behind the scenes to get back to his best.
The Liverpool keeper told Belgian TV station Sporza: "Everyone knows his qualities.
"When you're a footballer, you want to play in all the matches and it's not easy when you're on the bench.
"He's continuing to work hard at training and for his place. He does his best every day."
