Alan Bennett is confident of establishing himself at Reading.
The Irish fullback returned to the Royals last week from a loan at Southampton and told the Irish Daily Star: "I'm not saying I'd be able to mark Ronaldo and Rooney out of a game - I watched from the stands and their pace was frightening - but I'm just eager to play, to be involved.
"I feel like I can do a job for the first team at Reading."
Reading boss Steve Coppell said: "He looks sharp. He is up to game speed. The reason he went to Southampton has worked."
"I'm very happy with that," replied Bennett. "That's his view and I feel the same."
