Benjamin Mendy admits he'd prefer to win the Champions League with Manchester City than successfully defend the World Cup with France.

Mendy was asked about his choice over the weekend.

"Win the Champions League or defend the world title? Better to win with City in the Champions League," said the fullback.

"It's not that I do not want to win another world championship, but we already had a victory in the world championship with France. With City, we still had no victory in the Champions League. It's a dream."
