Former Real Madrid youth coach Alvaro Benito believes there's a problem between Toni Kroos and Zinedine Zidane.

Real coach Zidane left Kroos on the bench for their Champions League defeat to Manchester City this week, not even calling on the midfielder to warm up during the game.

Benito told Cadena SER: "He did not go out to warm up.

"You can take him to warm up with the idea that he will participate, and suddenly the goals of City and you think it is more convenient to put on more attacking players.

"I have seen Zidane answer later on television and it gives me all the feeling that something is going on there..."
