Former Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has stated that the duo of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck can pose a threat to Barcelona.

A lot of talk ahead of the Champions League encounter between Arsenal and Barcelona has been regarding the danger posed by the trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Naymar to the Gunners' backline.

However, Benitez believes that Arsenal have danger men of their own in Sanchez and Welbeck, and believes that the pair are more than capable of causing the Barcelona side more than a few problems on the night.

The ex-Liverpool boss said: "There is no doubt that Barcelona is playing well – with a lot of confidence. But Arsenal have had some good news in the last few weeks.

"Alexis Sanchez is playing regularly and with Welbeck coming back that will help their game. If they can keep the ball with these two players up front they will be more dangerous."
