Stoke City striker Benik Afobe is delighted with his move to Trabzonspor.

The former Arsenal centre-forward has joined Eddie Newton's team on a season-long loan.

He said during Sunday's signing presentation: “I am very happy that I came to Trabzonspor and that I am here. I am aware that I came to a very nice club. I've been hearing very good things about Trabzonspor for a few years.

"I am very proud that they brought me here. I was greeted nicely here. We have a family-like environment. I know the last season was very good, but we will do better this season. New players have arrived, there are young players.

"I would like to thank our fans for their good wishes to me and our team."
