Beni Carbone wants to return to Sheffield Wednesday.

Carbone was an Owl from 1996-99 and lit up the Premier League, before spells at Aston Villa and Bradford.

After starting his managerial career in Italy he is ready to return to England, where his best three years were at Wednesday.

“It is where this city that gave me everything and I gave blood when I played for them," he told The Sun.

“Now I am ready to bring them back to the top of the league. I am sure about that.

“This is a club that needs to be in the Premier League again because they are a big club, one of the oldest clubs in England with history.

“They deserve to be at the top and so to the fans as they are incredible. I know them and how much they deserve this."
