Benfica have turned down a £14m bid from Everton for their midfielder Andreas Samaris, according to Portuguese publication A Bola.

The Portuguese side are reportedly holding out for £17.5m for the Greek defensive midfielder.

The 28-year-old is also attracting from another Premier League side in Newcastle.

The Toffees have also been linked with an interest in Samaris' teammate – Mexican forward Raul Jimenez.
