Benfica are ready to cut short the loan of Douglas Pereira.

The fullback has battled for minutes since his August arrival from Barcelona.

A Bola says Benfica coach Rui Vitoria has no place for Douglas in his first team plans and will be happy to cut him loose next month.

Should he return to La Masia, Barca will seek a new move for Douglas.

For their part, Benfica are seeking a replacement signing with José Luis Gómez (Lanus) and Nordi Mukiele (Montpellier) under consideration.
