Benfica coach Jorge Jesus says he'd welcome Nicolas Otamendi should he lose Ruben Dias to Manchester City.

Otamendi is being included in City's offer for Dias, who could be on his way to England today.

Jorge Jesus said of Otamendi, "He is one of the centrals who is part of the Manchester City squad and may have to do with the transfer of Rúben. He has already shown his value at FC Porto, he is a player for Argentina. Most of his Manchester City's years he was a holder, he just stopped being now. He is a player we like.

"If I must choose, I want Rúben but since I cannot have both, I will have to have, if true, Otamendi. It is not by chance that Pep [Guardiola] ... He must not be stupid, if he wants Rúben and lets Otamendi come here. He has already seen what we all saw."
